Women's Day Celebration 2026

Women's Day Celebration 2026

Sri Ganesh College of Engineering and Technology, Mullodai, Puducherry, celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 with great enthusiasm through the inauguration of the Women Empowerment Club “Panchanayaka – Her Stories of Resilience.” The event was held on 10 March 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at D Block, SGCET.
The initiative symbolizes the strength and unity of five departments— AIDS, CSE, EEE, ECE, and IoT, representing collective leadership and solidarity among women students. The club draws inspiration from the concept of Panchakanya, highlighting courage, perseverance, and transformation through the five pillars of resilience: Presence, Purpose, Power, People, and Preparation.
The programme featured a variety of engaging activities including Tamil Thai Vazhthu, welcome address, presidential address, lighting of the lamp, introduction of the Women’s Empowerment Club, theme dance performances, song presentations, and an audio- visual presentation on the history of Women’s Day. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the national anthem.
Distinguished speakers such as Mrs. Gomathi E., Mrs. Balpina John, Mrs. Astrid Beno Prasanna, Mrs. R. Sri Dheepa, and Mrs. J. Asha shared inspiring insights on themes like modern feminism, the power of choice in a woman’s life, and education as the foundation of empowerment. Their speeches encouraged students to dream with purpose and embrace resilience in their journeys.
As part of the celebrations, a series of themed days from March 2 to March 6—including Twinning Day, Bangle Day, No Bag Day, Ethnic Day, and Flower Day—encouraged students to creatively express unity, culture, and appreciation for womanhood.
The celebration also featured EUDORIA ’26 – Enigmatic Mysteries, an engaging fest with quizzes, music challenges, Tamil language games, and Women’s Day themed activities that promoted knowledge, creativity, and cultural appreciation among students.
Under the guidance of the institution’s leadership, the event successfully highlighted the strength, creativity, and leadership of women, inspiring students to contribute towards a more progressive and inclusive society.
