MSME Workshop on IOT & Embedded systems 21.07.25 to 23.07.25
Workshop Day 1
Topic: Introduction to Arduino Board
- Students are introduced with the core concepts of embedded systems, which are specialized computer systems designed to perform dedicated functions within a larger mechanical or electrical system.
- Intro to Arduino Hardware & IDE: Understanding the different Arduino board models (Uno, Nano, Mega, etc.), their specifications, pin layouts, and power requirements.
Workshop Day 2
Topic: Introduction to Raspberry Pi
- The Raspberry Pi is a full-fledged computer capable of running an operating system and a wide range of software applications, making it incredibly versatile for various projects, from basic computing to complex IoT and automation tasks.
- Students have been taught about choosing the right Operating Systems for their specific Raspberry Pi boards and also to flash their selected OS on their boards too.
- Students did practical experiments like blinking LED’s and lighting a RGB LED by using Raspberry Pi boards at the MSME workshop.
Workshop Day 3
Topic: Introduction to Internet of Things
- Students are introduced to different types of sensors that can measure temperature, humidity, motion, light, pressure, GPS, etc. and their role in data collection also explained.
- Finally, students are encouraged to work on an Internet of Things project. And that project involves using sensors to gather temperature data from the surroundings and then sending the data straight to the cloud using an ESP32 WiFi sensor.
