Soft Skills Bridge Course Workshop
On 18th September 2025, the SGCET Auditorium hosted an engaging Soft Skills Workshop aimed at equipping students with the skills necessary for personal and professional success. The session, which ran from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM, focused on building confidence, enhancing communication, and preparing students for career growth.
The workshop began with a welcome speech by Dr. Gobu, Principal of SGCET, who emphasized the importance of soft skills in shaping personal and professional success. The Master of Ceremony, Bavatharanin, from the first year, smoothly guided the event. Throughout the session, students were attentive, interactive, and enthusiastic, actively participating in discussions and activities.
A Dynamic and Engaging Session
The Soft Skills Workshop was unconventional and highly interactive, with students actively discussing ideas with the presenter. Alongside the
discussions, they participated in engaging games, including the popular Connections Game, which encouraged teamwork and creative thinking.
The session covered essential topics such as effective communication, the
importance of presence of mind, and the art of stor ytelling, equipping students with practical tools for personal and professional growth.

practical tools for personal and professional growth. It concluded with a vote of thanks by Felixia, a first-year student, who highlighted how the activities energized the room and reinforced the importance of communication and collaboration.
