Physical Wellness Programme
Sri Ganesh College of Engineering and Technology organized a Special Physical
Wellness Programme on 27 February 2026 under the NSS Unit. The programme aimed
to create awareness among students about the importance of maintaining physical
health and overall well-being in today’s fast-paced lifestyle. The session was delivered
by Dr. Mukunth Chaitanya from Dr. Reddy’s Forum for Health Education (DRFHE).
The programme began with a warm welcome addressing the respected management,
faculty members, and students.
The event was conducted with the encouragement and support of the
institution’s management:Thiru. Selvamani, Chairman; Dr. J. Prakash, Chief Executive
Officer; Dr. N. Gobu, Principal; Dr. M. Karunakaran, Vice Principal; and Dr. K. R.
Sugavanan, Administrative Officer.
Impact of the physical wellness program
During the session, the resource person emphasized the importance of regular exercise,
balanced diet, stress management, and maintaining a healthy daily routine. He
explained how physical wellness plays a vital role in improving concentration,
academic performance, and long-term career success. The session was interactive and
engaging, with students actively participating and clarifying their doubts.
The programme was successfully organized under the coordination of Dr. R. Rajesh,
NSS Coordinator, with the support of faculty members and volunteers.
The Physical Wellness Programme was highly informative and beneficial for the
students. It motivated them to adopt healthier habits and understand the importance of
self-care. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the
management, the resource person, the organizing team, and the students for making the
programme meaningful and successful.
