Industrial Visit to Auroville – 2026
An Industrial Visit to Auroville, Puducherry was successfully organized on 07th September 2026 for the first-year B.Tech students as part of the Induction Programme at Sri Ganesh College of Engineering and Technology (SGCET).
The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure beyond classroom learning and to introduce them to sustainable technologies, eco-friendly practices, and innovative community-based development. During the visit, students explored various units and gained valuable insights into:
Renewable energy systems
Organic farming practices
Waste management techniques
Sustainable architecture
Students actively participated and showed great enthusiasm in understanding real-world applications of science and engineering concepts. The faculty members accompanied the students throughout the visit, ensuring proper guidance, discipline, and meaningful learning.
