Industrial Visit to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Planetarium – 2026
An Industrial Visit to the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Planetarium, Puducherry was organized on 09th September 2026 for the first-year B.Tech students as part of the Induction Programme at Sri Ganesh College of Engineering and Technology (SGCET).
The visit aimed to provide students with exposure to the fundamentals of space science, astronomy, and modern technological advancements. During the visit, students attended informative sessions and visual presentations that explained key concepts such as:
Planetary motion
Space exploration
Satellite technology
Life and achievements of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
The planetarium show offered an engaging and immersive learning experience, enabling students to understand complex scientific concepts through interactive and visual representation.
Students showed great interest and curiosity throughout the programme, which inspired them to develop a deeper inclination towards scientific research and innovation. Faculty members accompanied the students and ensured smooth coordination and discipline during the visit.
