Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital
Organized Free Eye Screening
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Sri Ganesh College of Engineering and
Technology (SGCET) organized a Free Eye and Ear Screening Camp in collaboration with
Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital. The event was held from morning until 12 p.m. and received an
overwhelming response from the college community. Principal Dr. N. Gobu, Vice Principal
Mr. M. Karunakaran, Administrative Officer Mr. K. R. Sugavanan, teaching and non-teaching staff members, and students actively participated in the program.
The camp aimed to create awareness about
the importance of eye and ear health and to
encourage preventive healthcare practices.
Qualified medical professionals from Dr.
Agarwal’s Eye Hospital conducted
comprehensive eye and ear check-ups for all
attendees. In addition to vision and hearing
tests, participants also underwent blood
sugar, blood pressure, oxygen level, and
weight assessments.
Those diagnosed with eye or hearing issues
were provided with free consultation coupons
for further check-ups at Dr. Agarwal’s
Hospital. The medical team also offered
valuable guidance on maintaining personal
health and caring for sensory organs,
emphasizing the importance of early detection
and regular health monitoring.
The Free Eye and Ear Screening Camp, organized by the NSS unit of SGCET, was a
resounding success. It highlighted the institution’s commitment to the well-being of its
students and staff while fostering a culture of health awareness and community service.
Participants appreciated the initiative, which encouraged everyone to stay mindful of their
overall health and wellness.
