Fostering Entrepreneurship& Innovation
Sri Ganesh College of Engineering C Technology organised an MSME Awareness Workshop to promote entrepreneurship and create awareness about schemes and opportunities available for young innovators.The workshop focused on the importance of ideas, government support programmes, incubation facilities, and industry classification.
Speakers Mr. A Krishnan ( Marketing Assistant) and Mr. Madhan Kumar (Production Incharge), Mr. Govindhan (Faculty, Mechanical Engineering), Mr. Anbubalan (Faculty,MSME Technology Cemtre) motivated students to think innovatively, identify everyday problems as potential business opportunities, and become job creators rather than job seekers.

They introduced the MSME Technology Centre’s
Incubation Centre, highlighting facilities such as prototype development, technical mentoring, and product testing. Students were guided on classification of industries in India based on investment and turnover (Micro: ≤ ₹1 Cr investment, ≤
₹5 Cr turnover; Small: ≤ ₹10
Cr investment, ≤ ₹50 Cr turnover; Medium: ≤ ₹50 Cr investment).
This knowledge equips students with practical insights to explore opportunities for skill development, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship.
The session also covered digital safety, encouraging students to use official portals such as www.champions.gov.in for scheme verification and to safely register and apply for business-related services online.
